Barrett Association of Transfer Students - BATS Enhancing the transition and college experience of transfer as well as non-traditional students at Barrett, the Honors College.

The Barrett Association of Transfer Students (BATS) is an Arizona State University student organization developed and housed within Barrett, The Honors College. It recognizes and supports the unique needs and interests of a transfer or non-traditional honors college student by providing a forum for peer advice, encouragement, a shared resource base, and an opportunity to develop a vibrant, interco

nnected community of his or her peers at Barrett, The Honors College. Interested members of the group assist the honors college in the recruitment of excellent, well-rounded individuals, notably community college students in Arizona. Other key BATS initiatives include facilitating a peer mentoring program for new honors college Upper Division students, fundraising and helping to distribute a scholarship for transfer or non-traditional students, developing a Phi Theta Kappa chapter at ASU, and planning social events to enrich the university experience for honors college transfer and non-traditional students.
