More participants from last week to celebrate! Big thanks to:

🐸 Kermit & Mazie (top far left & center-left), a very gung-ho young man and his sweet older "sister"
πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ Trixie (top right), housemate of Bobbie from last month!
πŸ₯‡ Gentle golden father-and-son duo Porto & Vigo (bottom far left & center-left)
πŸ’– Ruby (bottom right), a tiny girl with a BIG personality & zest for life

While we have more recent participant highlights to share, today marked the last day of our summer testing calendar for our attachment & sociability study. Thank you to all 100+ dogs (and humans) who visited us this summer!

But there is still more work to be done: starting this week, we will begin contacting a new batch of participants for the fall. We will have updates for other new studies to share soon as well. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to some of our participants from last week, who funnily enough followed a similar color scheme (mostly)!

🍳 Sizzle (top far left) & Nicki (top center-left), two stylish housemates of fellow shelties Olive & Holmes from earlier this summer
🌿 Chicory (top right), a gentle soul who wanted to say hello to both fake dogs AND the novel object in our sociability test
🌢️ Sriracha (bottom left), who was much more sweet than spicy!
πŸ‘½ Handsome, energetic Bentley (bottom right), who mesmerized us all with his beautiful eyes

Thank you to these fantastic dogs and their owners for joining us! If you haven't yet taken our dog owner survey, tell us about your dog (or dogs) here: survey.liu.se/survey/14086

Big thanks to some more of our participants from earlier this month!

⚑ Strike (top left & right), a man of many talents, including a silly splooted version and professional headshot version
πŸ‘₯ Father-daughter duo Finn (bottom far left) & Larkin (bottom center-left), who kept the Terv trend going strong following our 7-Tervuren marathon the previous day
🦒 Leta (bottom left), who joined us all the way from Tucson and showed off her nosework skills with an impressive search of our waiting & testing rooms after finishing our attachment & sociability study

There are many more dogs & humans to thank, and still more to reach out to! If you have already completed our dog owner survey & your dog is eligible for a follow-up, keep an eye on your inbox in the coming weeks for an invitation. Until then, continue sharing the survey with other dog owners in your network! https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086

We started August off right with a ton of incredible dogs! Big thanks to the first of our pawticipants from last Saturday:

πŸ’™ Blu, who brought bull(y)-in-a-china-shop energy and big smiles
🌸 Flower, the sweet sister of Ouzo "the Greek" who joined us earlier this summer
πŸ„β€β™€οΈ Cali, who was exceptionally polite towards the fake dogs in our sociability test!
πŸ”Ί Delta, aka Bean/Beans/Beanie, but who went by her "government name" for the day

We've got more in store for the fall! If you have already completed our dog owner survey, keep an eye on your inbox over the next couple of weeks: we will be reaching out to owners of eligible dogs soon. If you haven't yet taken our survey, click here: https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086 🐾

Last week we had our biggest session yet: a household of 7 Belgian Tervurens and 2 border collies joined us to complete our attachment & sociability study! We had a fabulous time, and we are so grateful to owners Amber & Debby for bringing the whole pack in. Thank you to all of these wonderful dogs, from left to right: Zesty, Data, Quidditch, Cranberry, Mud, Gilly (lying in front), Nyx, Jarvis, & Jinx!! πŸ•πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸ©

Join the pack! 🐾 Once our fall calendar is finalized, we will send out invites for more dog/owner pairs (or triplets/quadruplets/etc.). Take our dog owner survey to get started: https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086

Time for some small dog appreciation! Bruiser (left) was our tiniest participant yet, but used the biggest voice he could muster to give our fake dog models what for. Meanwhile, Kiwi (right) zoomed and pranced all over the waiting room and wanted to play with them. Two very different personalities, but both wonderful little dogs!

Want to have some fun with your own small dog? First, join us on Saturday (August 8, 2026, 10am-11:30am) at All Dogs Indoor Dog Park in Tempe, AZ for a Small Dog Meetup! Check out additional event details on All Dogs' website: https://alldogspark.com/events

It has been an incredible week for our attachment & sociability study, with many dogs to thank! We'll start with five fantastic pups:

🀩 Handsome Thiago (top left), the sweetest (and maybe the smallest?!) rottie you will ever meet
✈️ Snoop (top right), taking a break from his job at the airport as a PHX Navigator Buddy to join us
🧸 Murphy (bottom left), who didn't notice the model dogs in our sociability test, but being blind didn't stop this gentle old soul from completing our attachment test πŸ’“
πŸ‘ƒ Detection dogs Kismet (bottom center-right) & Kimber (bottom right), who miraculously paused long enough in their search of our waiting room to smile for the camera!

Interested in joining our research? Take our dog owner survey to get started: https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086 ! If your dog is eligible for in-person follow-ups, a member of our team will reach out to schedule an appointment.

No, you're not seeing double β€” you're seeing two gorgeous Groenendaels who joined us last week! Aurora (left) and Banshee (right) showed us just how unique cohabiting dogs can be (especially in response to the model dogs we use in our sociability test!).

Whether you have a single- or a multi-dog household, if you're curious about your dog's emotional connection to you and social behavior, take our dog owner survey & enter your contact info to volunteer for in-person studies: https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086

Today we'd like to showcase two beautiful fluffy white dogs who joined us recently: Nanuq (left) and Convoy (right). Who left more clouds of fur behind? It's probably not who you think!πŸ˜‰ But it was a small price to pay for time spent with lovely pups & people.

Do you also have a thick-coated dog in Arizona and want an indoor activity to beat the heat? Sign up for our attachment & sociability study! Take our dog owner survey to get started: πŸ‘‰ https://survey.liu.se/survey/14086
