Theta Omicron was first colonized in the fall of 1978 by a group of men who desired to form a fraternity that was different and stood out from the other fraternities who were already on Indiana State University's campus. They wished to form an organization, a brotherhood that stood for more than a Saturday night party, they wanted to make a difference. Ed Pease, an initiate of the Delta Xi Chapter

at Indiana University came to campus and with the help of a few undergraduates they put into motion what has become the best fraternity on Indiana State's campus. Through the years, Theta Omicron positioned itself into the most dominant Chapter in the nation, winning an unprecedented 18 Smythe Awards consecutively. More than 1300 men have been initiated through Theta Omicron in the past 30 years.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the service of Andrew G Baer, a Theta Omicron alumnus of Pi Kappa Alpha who gave the ultimate sacrifice to our nation. Andy was a perfect example of what it meant to be a PIKE through his Integrity, Courage, and brotherhood. His legacy continues to inspire us all and will never be forgotten.

Today marks the end of an era in the Theta Omicron chapter,

Edward Pease started his journey with Theta Omicron as the philosophical founder of the chapter when we came on campus in 1979. An alumnus of the Delta Xi chapter at Indiana University, Ed has been at the forefront of what PIKE has become, and especially what has made Theta Omicron into the chapter it is today. Besides his time in Congress during the early 2000s, and a two-year term as International President of Pi Kappa Alpha, Ed has been The Chapter Advisor for a majority of the years since the chapter was founded.

Day by day his impact can be recognized through his development of one of the largest and most involved fraternity Alumni advisory Boards in the country.

The impact that Ed has made is undeniable, setting an example of what it truly means to be a Pike through his contributions to one of the highest performing chapters in the nation.

Today, on his 75th birthday, marks Ed’s official retirement as our Chapter Advisor at Theta Omicron.

The Inaugural Theta O Alumni Golf Outing is in the books!

THANK YOU to all who came out and participated in our inaugural Alumni Golf Outing. We had 40 players enjoying a beautiful day at Hulman Links in Terre Haute and brotherhood at the Ballyhoo Tavern afterwards! Through the event we were able to raise nearly $2,000 for the Ed Pease Legacy Fund at the Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation.

Congratulations to our co-winners (Liam Heber, Jack Moulton, Tony Heber, and Paul RyaSteven Brownnd (Evan Rudicle, Barry Bledsoe, Steven Brown, and Anthony Ferguson) who each shot an impressive 60 (-12)!

Congratulations to our longest drive competition winner - Tyler Antic and our closest to the pin competition winner - Barry Bledsoe!

For today’s “Why Pike Wednesday” we have Chase French! Chase is a Kinesiology major with minors in Strength & Conditioning and Massage Therapy from West Terre Haute, Indiana. A fun fact about Chase is that he likes taking photos to help people capture the moment!
