Last night, the brothers of Theta-Kappa Zeta initiated four of our own AMs, along with one AM from the Colony at Butler University, into the brotherhood of Lambda Chi Alpha. Congratulations to Brothers Alan Bruner, Sean Childers, Anakin Fry, and Noble Jones from Rose-Hulman; as well as Brother Max Murphy from Butler University!

Greetings Brothers, in the next day or two we will be sending out a summer newsletter, just to give you all an update on what our plans are for this year, among other things. I'm waiting on Alumni Services to get me the alum email list. The main thing is a reminder the Phase Event 13 is happening August 23rd-26th. The main focus is going to be removing the remaining carpet from the house and tiling it. The actives are always excited for the chance to meet with Alumni, so I hope to see all of you there.

Every year, the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology holds Watermelon Bust. Watermelon Bust is a series of watermelon related activities, such as the relay race, watermelon throw, and destroying watermelons to raise money for Feeding America. It is a blast busting watermelons and knowing it is for an excellent cause!

This year, we hope to triple what we made last year with the help of your donations. We hope to make this year's event a real blockBUSTer this September!

After six grueling weeks of recruitment, the chapter associated seven new members this past Monday, marking their first steps as members of Lambda Chi Alpha. They are shown below, and from left to right are:

Their education will begin promptly, where we will teach them the ins and outs of being a brother to prepare them for Initiation.

Once again, the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha came together last weekend to celebrate the annual Phase Event, a weekend of renovating the Chapter House, enjoying hanging out with brothers, and celebrating hard work. As we begin the year, we want to especially thank all of our Alumni Brothers who have contributed to the house and to our brotherhood. Attached are some pictures from throughout the weekend and the week prior.

A week later, things have finally calmed down at Theta Kappa and at Rose-Hulman. Following Initiation, the brothers immediately set upon either finals or graduation. For the first group, summer break has finally rolled around after a grueling week of exams. Hopefully, they weren't too bad, and I hope to see you all in the Fall, ready for Rush and another year of Rose. For the latter, congratulations, good luck, Godspeed, and remember that you will always be a part of our brotherhood.

Service and Stewardship: one of our core values, and a value that the members of Theta Kappa well embody. This quarter, we had our yearly Food Drive to raise money and donations for Feeding America and Catholic Charities. Raising the equivalent of over 800 lbs of food, the actives of the chapter are still hard at work making a difference in the Terre Haute community and in the lives of its residents.
