Capitalizing on the College's prime waterfront location, outstanding facilities, and dedicated staff we encourage the community and the entire region to take advantage of the programs offered at one of the best waterfront facilities in the country! SUNY Maritime College is an award winning US Sailing Community Sailing facility and a US Powerboating Training Center. We offer hands-on powerboat and

sailing lessons, community sailing and an action packed "Boat Camp." Explore all New York Maritime’s waterfront has to offer in this jam packed two weeks of activity. Discover sailing aboard a 23' keelboat with an instructor and your friends as crew, learn how to safely operate a powerboat with hands-on training, earn your New York State Boating Safety Certificate, try SCUBA diving, paddle around in kayaks, splash in the pool, go fishing, explore the fish, crabs and other marine organisms on the shore with nets and enjoy games and initiatives that foster self-confidence, communication, and teamwork. Lunch, life jackets and all safety equipment are included. Life is to short not to get on the water!

As we approach the start of another glorious camp season, we are so grateful for all the support the wider community has given us over the years!

The Dr. Marie DeAngelis Scholarship Fund helps make community programs - like camp and swim lessons - affordable and accessible, connecting New Yorkers to their local waters. Gifts given to Community Programs during Giving Day tomorrow will benefit the Dr. Marie DeAngelis Fund.

Lots of activity on the Waterfront this week! Thanks to RAs Caroline and Omillo for encouraging everyone to take advantage of this beautiful weather, paddling in and out of the basin in the kayaks 🛶

For those who missed out, stop by McMurray Hall between 10AM and 5:30PM Monday-Friday and find a member of the Waterfront staff to sign out a kayak … or stop by next week when the Environmental Club will be back for more kayak related events as part of their Earth Day celebrations!
