Founded in 1964 by educational visionary and activist Audrey Cohen, more than 12,000 alumni have earned degrees from Metropolitan College of New York. Our unique Purpose-Centered Education model helps students learn by blending theory, and real-world practice, all within the lens of social justice. MCNY is an accredited, not-for-profit college, with two campuses, one located in lower Manhattan and another in the Bronx. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered through three schools: the Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education, the School for Business, and the School for Public Affairs and Administration.

The Metropolitan College of New York community is proud to celebrate our President, Dr. Charles J. Gibbs, who has been invited to join the 2026 EdTech Week Fellowship Cohort as a Fellow and featured Think Tank participant!

Taking place October 13–15 in New York City, EdTech Week 2026 brings together leaders in education, technology, and workforce development to discuss how artificial intelligence is changing the way we teach, learn, and prepare students for the future.

President Gibbs will participate in the Think Tank discussions on Wednesday, October 14, at Teachers College, Columbia University, sharing perspectives on the future of higher education and the opportunities AI presents for colleges and their students.
