Lehman College - Office of Campus Life Our mission is to actively engage students in their academic, personal, and professional development

The Office of Campus Life assists the Lehman College Student Government Association and recognized clubs in planning, budgeting, and implementing extracurricular programs and activities. The Office of Campus Life staff also manages the daily operation of the Student Life Building. In collaboration with colleagues from the Division of Student Affairs and other members of the Lehman College communit

y, the Office of Campus Life through the Herbert H. Lehman Center for Student Leadership Development sponsors Leadership Training Modules, Leadership Training Weekends, and an annual Leadership Conference focusing on urban commuter students. The Office of Campus Life also facilitates Sexual Harassment Education seminars, New Student Orientation programs as well as thematic activities including Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Women's History month. The over arching goal of all programs and activities is to provide opportunities for student engagement, persistence to degree completion and individual development of social, aesthetic, and intellectual skills.

This semester we have a wide variety of programs, including:
✨️Leadership Essentials, In Person - Learn how to apply proven leadership models in your life. Facilitated by Campus Life Administrators.
✨️ Civic Engagement, Hybrid - Learn the importance of civic engagement, including how to contact yiur representatives and advocate effectively. Special guest speaker: President Delgado.
✨️Public Speaking, Virtual Synchronous- Meeting you where you're at, learn how to effectively give speeches and presentations. Facilitated by a past TED Talk Speaker.
✨️Introduction to Leadership, Online Asynchronous - Learning at your own pace, learn exemplary leadership practices for effectively leading teams or in work settings. Facilitated via Google Classrooms.

Run for Student Government Association (SGA) and advocate for the students, resources, and changes that matter most to the Lehman community. Make a difference at Lehman College! 🏃‍♀️

❓️WHAT SGA DOES
SGA represents students on decisions about fees, programs, and campus services. Members work with administration to advocate for change in the Lehman community. 

➕️BENEFITS
✔️Develop real skills: public speaking, event planning, leadership
✔️ Network with administrators and community leaders
✔️Build a resume that stands out
✔️Gain advocacy skills and civic engagement
✔️ Monthly stipend

🕙PAST PROJECTS
✨️Secured additional funding for the Lehman College Food Bank
✨️Provided gift cards to students during the COVID-19 pandemic
✨️Advocated for student benefits and scholarships
✨️Supported an Indigenous land acknowledgement for official ceremonies
✨️Created a meditation room in the Leonard Lief Library

☑️REQUIREMENTS
✅️Enrolled in a degree at Lehman
✅️Undergrads: 6+ credits, 2.0 GPA; Grad students: 3+ credits, 3.0 GPA
✅️Earn 50% of prior semester credits
✅️Attend Meetings Wednesdays, 3:45- 6:00 PM
✅️10 hours/week for SGA duties

Welcome to our newest Lehmanites!

The Office of Campus Life welcomed more than 1,300 incoming students and their families for New Student Orientation. The three-day experience was filled with informative panel discussions, campus tours, a lively resource fair, and fun moments with new friends.
