This week, LSCS-Organizational Development launched Fundamentals Onboarding Day, a new full-day learning experience designed to help our newest employees start strong. This day is the first introduction to the Career Pathways, which empower employees to build the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed to excel in their current roles. During the Fundamental Onboarding day, participants engaged in sessions covering essential Lone Star College System institutional knowledge, such as Strategic Goals, LSCFocus culture, communication expectations, business processes, and more.

Becoming a certified coach through Gallup involves a week-long training with full-day sessions, multiple skill check-ins, a final assessment, and six intentional coaching sessions. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Bren Besch.

Bren was more than a coworker — her kindness, dedication, and willingness to support those around her made a lasting impact on so many people. Bren will be remembered not only for her contributions, but for the warmth, positivity, and joy she brought to those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bren’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
