Our Nursing 120 students had the opportunity to engage in an inspiring panel discussion with nursing professionals who shared real-world insight into the profession. 🩺✨

Panelists discussed how nursing today differs from what they envisioned as students, offered advice for pre-nursing students just beginning their journey, and shared strategies for balancing professional responsibilities with personal life. Their honesty, experience, and encouragement provided students with valuable perspective as they begin building their foundation in professional nursing.

A special thank you to our panelists from Thibodaux Regional Health System: Matthew Gaudet, Elise Callais, and Olivia Fanguy. ❤️

🎓 Spotlight on Success!

Continuing our celebration of our MSN graduates!

Amber Guidry, Spring 2026 Graduate, chose Nicholls State University because of "its strong reputation, supportive faculty, and ability to prepare students for real-world practice" while allowing her to continue working as a Labor & Delivery RN and raising her family.

Upon graduation, Amber plans to begin her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an area to allow her to grow clinically while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Amber states, "my goal is to work alongside experienced providers, continue learning, and build strong relationships with my patients and community. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience while making a positive impact on the health and well-being of those I care for."

Ginger Szush, Spring 2026 Graduate, chose Nicholls State University for her MSN degree because of its accessibility within my community. Ginger states, "This was an important factor, as it enabled me to continue fulfilling my responsibilities as a wife, mother, and community employee while pursing my education. Additionally, the MSN nursing program offers a strong academic foundation that aligns with my personal needs, professional aspirations, and long-term career goals." Upon graduation, Ginger plans to continue working at Nicholls State University as an Instructor of Nursing.
