For the 14th consecutive year, the Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo (MCOFR) is making a difference at Nicholls! 🔴⚔️

MCOFR has donated $14,000 to Nicholls, supporting the Department of Petroleum Engineering Technology and Safety Management (PETSM) and Nicholls Veterans Services. This year’s gift is the largest donation MCOFR has made to the university!

We’re incredibly grateful to the Morgan City Open Fishing Rodeo for 14 years of continued support and for investing in the students, programs and veterans who make Nicholls special.

Both proud Nicholls graduates, Richard and Jennifer Martin have carried the lessons, relationships and sense of community they found at Nicholls throughout their careers.

Richard is a CPA and partner at Martin and Pellegrin, CPAs, where he has spent his career serving businesses and individuals throughout the region. Jennifer began her career in education before becoming the owner of Outside and In, a local gift shop she operated for more than 17 years.

Today, the Martins continue to support the university they are proud to call their alma mater, with a special passion for the General Scholarship Fund through Bon Vin. Their support helps provide future Colonels with opportunities to pursue their education and build their own futures.

“Giving back to Nicholls is one way we can express our appreciation and help provide similar opportunities for future generations.”
