One of SRTC's instructors was leaving Colquitt Regional Medical Center when he spotted a familiar group in the lobby: several of our nursing students arriving for clinicals!

Moments like this are a great reminder of how present SRTC is throughout our community. Our students aren't just learning in a classroom; they're already becoming familiar faces in the very hospitals and healthcare settings they'll one day work in 🩺

This week, we were joined by counselors, CTAE directors, and educators from high schools in our region at SRTC-Thomasville for the Future Ready Summit.

Together, we explored how Dual Enrollment, CTAE, and Accelerated Career Diploma pathways can work hand in hand to prepare students for what comes after high school. The morning included a Dual Enrollment update along with a partner showcase spotlighting programs across the region, making for a meaningful morning of collaboration.

Thank you to Joseph Echols with TCSG, Megan Taylor with Colquitt County High School, Dr. Donald Gilman and Traci Hill with Tift County High School, Dion Hale with Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Sandy Bozeman with Worth County High School, and Tammy Shealey with Thomas County Central High School for sharing their time and expertise, and to every partner who helps make these opportunities possible for our students!

We're honored to be a Silver Sponsor for this year's Memorial Hospital Foundation Gala!

Last year's Gala reminded us why this partnership matters so much, as we saw our community come together to support such important healthcare work. We're glad to once again stand alongside Memorial Hospital and Manor in supporting all they do for our region!

✨ Thank You, SRTC! ✨

The Memorial Hospital Foundation is grateful to recognize Southern Regional Technical College as a Silver Sponsor of our upcoming Gala on October 29th! πŸ’™

We truly appreciate SRTC’s generous support and commitment to our community. We look forward to celebrating with them as we come together for an evening of timeless elegance and giving.

Funds raised through the Gala will support the purchase of equipment for Memorial Hospital and Manor and help enhance healthcare offerings for our community.

Thank you, SRTC, for helping us invest in a healthier future for Southwest Georgia! πŸ’™

Congratulations to the SRTC-Moultrie Spring 2026 Practical Nursing cohort for achieving a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN)! πŸ’― This class consisted of 10 traditional students and 5 dual enrollment students.

This 100% first-attempt pass rate is a major accomplishment for this program and its students, as that percentage is well above the national average for nursing programs.
We are SO proud of you!

You know it's a good day when there's standing room only!

Our Industrial Technology students filled every seat and lined the walls just to catch a look at what Dan Smith from Klein Tools had to bring. Dan stopped by to speak with our SRTC-Moultrie students and walked through tools used in electrical, HVAC, and automation work.

Thank you to Garrett Segrest with City Electric Supply in Thomasville for organizing this visit and connecting our students with industry professionals like Dan. That kind of turnout says everything about how hungry our students are to learn from industry professionals!

Congratulations to Kirby on taking the next step in her career by joining our Veterinary Technician Program. It's always exciting to welcome students who are already working in the field and bringing real hands-on experience into the classroom.

Thank you to Lonleaf Veterinary Associates for the kind words and for supporting Kirby as she pursues this next chapter. We can't wait to be part of her journey toward becoming a Veterinary Technician. Welcome to SRTC, Kirby!
