California Lutheran University's Political Science Department The Political Science Department seeks to critically engage students in political philosophy and public policy as emerging leaders of a global society.

Political Science majors have three options for emphasis: international relations, law and public policy, or general/individually-tailored. They are also linked to study abroad opportunities for a semester (through the CLU-Oxford Program and the Lutheran College Washington Semester) or as a 2-3 week travel seminar to Cuba or Jamaica studying their history, politics, and culture. Students have opportunities for involvement through College Democrats, College Republicans, and Pi Sigma Alpha, our honor society.

Congratulations to our poli sci students who presented their research at Homecoming this weekend! Four students mentored by Dr. Huckle - our own DA, Caroline Finkbeiner (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow), Negeen Mohsen (Culver), Bella Ramirez (ASCENSO), and Giovanni Aguirre (McNair), and mentored by Dr. Marichal, Nadia Gomez (ASCENSO). We are so proud of all their hard work, dedication, and the ideas they are bringing to life to improve our communities.
