When most high school students think about pharmacy, they picture a retail counter. Dr. Michelle Seegert wants to expand that view.

Dr. Seegert, associate dean for admissions and enrollment at The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, was awarded a $20,000 grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores to develop Pharmacy Unboxed, an escape room-style learning experience designed to introduce high school students to pharmacy as a career in a way that doesn’t feel like a classroom.

Our Cosmetic Science & Formulation Design program is uniquely hands-on — giving students two full years of lab experience and the opportunity to create 50+ cosmetic and personal care products in the lab while learning the science behind formulation, ingredients, product development, and innovation.

Even more unique? Students can build toward the future with a direct pipeline into our fully online master’s program, with the opportunity to earn up to 9 graduate credit hours while completing their undergraduate degree 👏
