Here is the schedule for the upcoming WU Biology Department Tailgates for the Fall 2026 Season. Please stay tuned for Individual Event Posts as the Tailgates arrive, but for now, SAVE THESE DATES!

WU Biology Tailgates (Saturdays)

1. Sep 5 v. Colorado School of the Mines (10:30 AM food; 12:00 PM game)

2. Sep 19 v. University of Central Oklahoma on Family Day and Alumni Game (10:30 AM food; 12:00 PM game)

3. Oct 10 v. Pittsburg State University on Hall of Fame Day (10:30 AM food; 12:00 PM game)

4. Oct 31 v. Missouri Western State University on Homecoming Day (12:00 PM food; 2:00 PM game)

5. Nov 14 v. Missouri Southern State University on Senior Day (10:30 AM food; 12:00 PM game)

The biology department faculty and staff are ready for the Fall 2026 semester! We are in our 2nd week of the semester and getting to know our new Ichabods, reconnecting with returning Ichabods, and best preparing them all for future successes at Washburn University and beyond!

Biology Tailgaters...Unfortunately, there will be no tailgate this Saturday, Oct 18. Next week, I'll let you all know our plans for a Homecoming tailgate on Oct 25th.

We invite you to our Spring 2024 Biology Day at Washburn University hosted by the Washburn University Biology Department!

When? Wednesday, March 6, 4:30 - 6:30 PM

Where? Stoffer Science Hall (North Lobby 1st floor) - Stoffer is located in the northeast section of campus near the intersection of 17th Street and Washburn Avenue.

Who? High school students and their parents/guardians who are interested in biology are invited to join us!

Why? To learn about our biology degree programs, tour our facilities, learn about scholarship opportunities, and REGISTER to win a scholarship drawing!

We hope to see you next Wednesday evening!
