students may choose to spread the course work over five semesters. A one year certificate program for Veterinary Aides is another option for students that choose this career path. Meet our EWC Vet Tech Graduates 2026 🎓🐾

We are excited to highlight one of our 2026 graduates, Gwen, from the Eastern Wyoming College Veterinary Technology program!

Today we have a little help from Gwen’s trusty sidekick, Remi!!

"GUESS WHAT?! My favorite human Gwen is officially a graduate of the Eastern Wyoming College Veterinary Technology program! 🎓🐾

I’ve been by her side through all the late-night studying, and I even let her practice her tech skills on me (I'm a very good patient, obviously).

She says her time growing up on the ranch with horses and dogs like me inspired her to do this, and now it’s finally happening!
I’m so proud that she already has a job lined up at a mixed animal practice. She says she’s excited to work with other "cool" dogs, but she’s also looking forward to those "interesting" cows—even if they always have some strange disease!

She’s not stopping there, though. Between our hikes and outdoor adventures, she’s still taking online classes for her Bachelor’s in Fish and Wildlife Management and getting ready for her VTNE exam to become certified. I don't know what all those big words mean, but I know she's the best!

Way to go, Gwen! I’m ready for our next big adventure!" 🦴🐕🏔️

While she loves all creatures, Kyan has a special bond with horses. She feels a deep understanding of them and finds that they always have a unique way of making those around them feel better.

What’s next for Kyan? She will be heading into her next chapter with her trusty sidekick, Mo, by her side! Her future goals include specializing as an equine tech or working primarily with horses to continue her work as an equine healer.

Congratulations, Kyan! we are so proud of your dedication to large animal care! 🎓🐎✨

🐾 Meet our EWC Vet Tech Graduates 2026! 🐾
Today we are featuring Madeline, a graduate with a lifelong passion for animal care! 🐄✨

Growing up on a ranch, Madeline was always the first one to jump in and help—whether it was doctoring cows (her favorite!), pulling calves, or caring for everything from chickens and goats to horses and pigs.

Her drive to get hands-on and licensed as quickly as possible led her to the EWC Veterinary Technician Program, where she has been honing her skills to turn her passion into a career.

What’s next for Madeline? 🎓 After graduation, she plans to head back to her hometown to work in a mixed animal practice while continuing to help out on her family’s ranch. Her ultimate goal is to find the perfect large animal practice where she can thrive as a dedicated large animal technician.

Meet our EWC Vet Tech Graduates 2026

Help us celebrate our incredible Class of 2026! Today, we are shining a spotlight on Kayden. 🐾

Kayden’s journey to veterinary technology is fueled by a lifelong connection to animals, ranging from dogs and cats to horses and exotics. After initially studying Criminal Justice and then earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Kayden discovered a true passion for clinical work while at a local clinic, leading her to EWC to become a licensed technician.

Future Plans: Kayden is headed into mixed animal general practice and emergency medicine. Post-graduation, Kayden will continue working at Pioneer Animal Clinic to gain experience while working toward a specialization in surgery or emergency medicine.

Meet her Four-Legged Family:
• Stiles: A 7-year-old Pit/German Shepherd/Husky who has been Kayden’s "baby" since he was only six weeks old.
• Peco: A 23-year-old Quarter horse and an "all-around guy" who does everything from reining and cow work to trail riding. For Kayden, horses have always provided a profound sense of peace and freedom.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Kayden! We are so proud of your dedication to animal care. 🎓✨
