Colgate Secular Association of Skeptical Students (Colgate SASS)

Colgate Secular Association of Skeptical Students (Colgate SASS) The Colgate Secular Association of Skeptical Students We are a student organization at Colgate University.

Our goal is to promote education, cooperation, and action within a community for students who hold secular beliefs. We will engage in speaker presentations, philosophical discussions, and just plain chillin' throughout the semester. We will also be involved with numerous community service and interfaith events in order to show the world that atheists don't eat babies.

A survey taken as part of a 2013 University of Tennessee study indicates that only 14.8% of nonbelievers are also anti-theists.

In his book “In Faith and In Doubt: How Religious Believers and Nonbelievers Can Create Strong Marriages and Loving Families,” author Dale McGowan writes that just as no one religion’s believers agree on everything, neither do all nonbelievers.
