The Film, Audio, Media Arts major focuses on the study of the aesthetics and production of film, television and radio.

The major is divided into three concentrations: Film/Video/Digital Media, Audio, and Film and Media Studies. The Department of Electronic Media & Film strives to develop and inspire your creativity, foster your talents and skills, and empower you to succeed in a constantly changing digital world. EMF provides many opportunities to expand your knowledge and experiences, shape your expressivity, and heighten your understanding and awareness of media, its powerful traditions, and its exciting future

FAMA’s annual Sound Design Competition gives FAMA students an exciting opportunity to showcase their creativity through sound and compete for awards. A silent video clip is provided, and students will have until October 25th to add sound design and submit their videos.

A panel of FAMA professors and sound professionals will select three awardees who can win software packages from Eventide and Krotos. Click the link in our bio or visit the competition website below for more details.

Towson University's Department of Film, Audio, Media Arts invite you to an on-campus event on Friday, October 9th from 8am-1:30PM to find out what it means to be a student in our program. Join us for an immersive experience exploring our dynamic programs in Film, Video & Digital Media, Audio & Radio, and Film & Media Studies.

This event is open to high school students, community college students, current TU students exploring a new major, and their guests—including parents, guardians, and educators. Attendees will connect with FAMA faculty and students, sit in on engaging lectures, and experience hands-on demonstrations from current courses.
