Towson University’s tuition is being raised for the 2026-27 school year, along with other public colleges in the University System of Maryland.

The USM requires each university to provide enrollment projections for the school year to determine their tuition cost and annual budget.

Towson University welcomed its largest incoming freshman class in university history this August.

This year, nearly 6,000 students have joined the TU community, according to an email sent by university president Mark Ginsberg.

Of those students, 3,250 are freshmen.

Posi’s Kitchen, a family-owned West African fusion restaurant, has returned to the University Union for another semester.

The restaurant currently occupies the Community Kitchen next to the Halal Shack. It spent some of April 2026 at Local Restaurant Row, where it won the Center of Student Diversity’s “Jollof Wars.”

Posi’s Kitchen is open in the University Union Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The brick-and-mortar restaurant is located in Mount Vernon in Baltimore and is also open five days a week.
