Upcoming CTF (Capture the Flag) Event! ⛳💻

Join us for Guard Maryland: Cyber Showdown 2026, a free, live capture-the-flag (CTF) competition sponsored by the Maryland Air National Guard, Towson University Cyber Defense Club, and Hack The Box!

All skill levels are welcome, from novice, intermediate, to expert. You'll be able to work with a team to take on cybersecurity challenges and put your skills into action!

Summer Intern Spotlight: Keside Unegbu! 🧳✨

And for our final Summer Intern Spotlight of this year, meet Keside Unegbu, a CS major who interned at BAE Systems, Inc. as an Data Science Intern this summer!

As a Data Science Intern, Keside worked under the Data Management and Engineering Support Team. While working on coding projects, Keside scheduled coffee chats with other data sciences and senior engineers and learn more about their roles. Overall, Keside gaines valuable experience from his internship at BAE Systems, Inc.

🌟 Come stop by the Student Involvement Fair on Wednesday, September 2nd, from 4 to 6 PM, on 3rd Floor, University Union Ballrooms. There you will get to see more than 200 student organizations, from dance teams to math clubs, including 9 CIS clubs!

The Student Involvement Fair is your chance to get to know the organization and find one that’s right for you. Grab a coffee from the Food Market and head to the third floor ballroom area, where organizations will have tables with representatives and information. Summer Intern Spotlight: Martin Jones! 🧳✨

Meet Martin Jones, an IT major who interned at Northrop Grumman as a Data Analytics Intern this summer!

In his internship, Martin was able to use the data sent to him and his deployment team to provide technical solutions. Relying on his network and asking questions helped him learn more about hands-on technical skills and IT business analytics.

Five Guys Enterprises is hiring a Systems Support Specialist I in Alexandria, VA! This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, maintain Windows systems, and assist with user accounts and devices.
