HVCC - Health,Physical Education and Exercise Studies Department The Health, Physical Education and Exercise Studies Department offers 2 year degrees in Exercise Science, Health and Wellness and Physical Education. or B.S.

We offer three 2 year degrees:
1) Health and Wellness A.S.
2) Exercise Science A.S.
3) Physical Education A.S. We also offer 4 certificates:
1) Coaching (10 credits)
2) Fitness Specialist (25 credits)
3) Worksite Health Promotion (24 credits)
4) Health Science Certificate (25 credits)
5) Health Science Certificate

This major is a popular choice for students at Hudson Valley Community College. 90

% of our graduates successfully transfer on to four year colleges and end up completing a B.A. in a timely fashion. Some popular transfer colleges include SUNY Cortland, Brockport, Sage Colleges, Springfield College, Coastal Carolina University and many more. Our graduates are prepared to pursue degrees in Health Education, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Sports Medicine, or Personal Training. Along with working towards your 2 year degree you can take classes that are approved by the State of New York for a Coaching Certification.
