Working together to fight food insecurity in our community.

A huge thank-you to our valued community partners at Unity House of Troy, Inc. and to the Regional Food Bank for providing healthy food resources which allow us to continue to support our students’ needs.

Today, the Capital District EOC staff assembled100 bags of nutrient-dense food for students to take home; helping ensure they are properly fueling both their bodies and their minds.

You can’t learn when you’re hungry, and together with Unity House and the Regional Food Bank, we’re working to reduce food insecurity wherever we can.

Memorial Day is more than just the unofficial start to summer; it’s a day to pause, remember, and honor those who have given their life, in service to their country and their fellow citizens.

Their sacrifice made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we cherish.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, let us do so with gratitude, reflection, joy, and staying safe.

For 60 years, the Capital District EOC has proudly offered tuition-free academic and workforce development training and opportunities to disadvantaged and educationally under-prepared individuals, helping them achieve success for a brighter future.

Since our founding in 1966, thousands of Capital Region residents have gained self-confidence in their own capabilities, realized their career goals, obtained self-sufficiency and expanded their upward economic mobility.

Let’s continue the work of ensuring that everyone in the Capital Region has the ability to reach their highest potential, as individuals, and as a community.
