Last week, Capital District EOC Executive Director Mike Markou attended the NYS Youth Justice Institute’s Microlearning Series on Youth Justice & Technology in Albany, gaining valuable insight into the intersection of technology, workforce development, and youth justice. During the session, expert panelists explored the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in workforce development, mental well-being, and youth justice systems across communities throughout New York State.
Mike also served as a panelist at the New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) Fall Conference, participating in the discussion, “Collaborating Across Systems: Successful Partnerships Linking Education and Workforce Development.” The conversation highlighted the importance of cross-sector partnerships in creating pathways to education, training, and employment opportunities.
