Happy Juneteenth! ✊🏾✨ Today is all about celebrating freedom, honoring our history, and keeping that same energy going when it comes to building up our future.

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Epsilon Omega Chapter are observing Black Maternal Health Week as we stand in support of healthier families, stronger communities, and better outcomes for Black mothers.

The United States continues to have one of the highest maternal mortality rates among high-income countries, and Black women are still 2 to 3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes. Many of these outcomes are preventable.

This week is about more than statistics. It is about listening to Black women, improving care, and making sure every mother is seen, heard, and supported.
