Advice from the people who know Eller best 💙❤️
What is the most valuable lesson you learned at Eller?
“Don’t wait until you feel “ready.” Some of the best experiences I’ve had came from stepping outside my comfort zone and applying for positions and opportunities that challenged me. I’ve run for leadership positions and lost, but each experience taught me something valuable and helped me grow. More importantly, I met incredible people along the way. The people you surround yourself with have a huge impact on your college experience and the only way to find those people is to take chances and put yourself out there.” - Addy
What is one thing you would tell your freshman self?
“If I could tell my freshman-year self one thing, it would be: put yourself out there. Don’t be shy, try new things you’ve never done before, and challenge yourself. College goes by faster than you think, so enjoy every moment while you can.”- Rachelle
What advice do you have for getting involved?
“My advice for all Eller students is to join as many clubs as you possibly can. Anything that seems remotely interesting is worth trying out. Every friend and good memory I have from college are thanks to the clubs I’ve joined. Put yourselves out there!” -Oskar
What’s your biggest networking tip?

Instead of putting so much pressure on yourself, try to approach networking as a friendly conversation. Ask questions, show genuine interest in the person you’re talking to, and let the conversation flow naturally. Remember that recruiters are people too, and they’re there to meet and get to know you too. You never know where a simple conversation might lead, so enjoy the experience and focus on making genuine connections rather than worrying about saying the “perfect” thing.“ -Ashlyn
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
