Congratulations to Sung Eun Jung, Assistant Professor on being selected for the AY26–27 Experiential Learning Design Accelerator Faculty Fellowship!

Through the fellowship, she will redesign the community-based STEM teaching component of a science methods course in the Teaching, Learning & Sociocultural Studies Early Childhood Education program. Her work will strengthen partnerships with local community organizations and prepare future educators to create culturally responsive, student-driven STEM learning experiences that build on young children’s interests, stories, and everyday knowledge.

The College of Education was honored to join Campus Community Connections for the unveiling of the Lorraine Lee Commemorative Mural at The Lotus Lounge.

The event celebrated Lorraine Lee's lasting legacy and recognized the importance of preserving and uplifting the stories, history, and contributions of our community. We were proud to have Dr. Kenny Importante, CCC co-chair and College of Education alumnus, Dr. Chi Nguyen, Affiliate Faculty Historian at The Lotus Lounge, and Associate Dean Iliana Reyes for Academic Affairs and Community Partnerships in attendance, representing the College of Education.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful celebration possible.
