🍎 J.R. Cullison Scholar Reception Recap 🍎

The 2024 J.R. Cullison Scholars program culminated on Friday at the FFA State Leadership Conference as students, advisors, and supporters met to celebrate 46 students nominated for displaying a teacher-like disposition. During this event, students learned more about what it is like to work as an agricultural educator and about the education required to become one. Thank you to all who joined us in nominating and celebrating these students!

We hope to see our J.R. Cullison Scholars in our teacher preparation program in the near future!

🎉 Congratulations 2024 J.R. Cullison Scholars! 🎉

Did you know there is currently a national shortage of agricultural educators at the secondary level? It is estimated that there will be hundreds of unfilled positions across the United States this year.

We know that 46 bright and hard working FFA members across Arizona could fill these positions easily. These 46 students will be recognized today as the 2024 J.R. Cullison Scholars. Stay tuned the rest of this week to see all these outstanding individuals.

The J.R. Cullison Scholar Award Program is a collective effort by Arizona Agriculture Teachers Association (AATA), Arizona Agricultural Education/FFA Foundation, Arizona Department of Education, and University of Arizona, and Dept of Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation to generate a pipeline of prospective students when promoting a career teaching school-based agriculture. Thank you for your continued support of agricultural education!
