University of Arizona Society for Range Management: Tierra Seca Tierra Seca is the University of Arizona chapter of the Society for Range Management.

We provide a forum for people to come together with common interests, professional development, and volunteer on natural resource projects around Tucson. Rangelands are areas that are naturally dominated by herbaceous species, shrubs, and cacti. These areas are unsuitable for agriculture and used primarily as natural ecosystems. As a club, we provide the opportunity to participate in activities in

cluding outdoor recreation, guest speakers, volunteering, and fundraising. Tierra Seca allows members the opportunity to attend conferences and meetings of larger rangeland organizations and compete in a variety of undergraduate and graduate competitions. Tierra Seca provides a forum for people to come together with common interests, professional development, and volunteer on natural resource projects in the Tucson area.
