I am also the president of the Indigenous Society of Architecture, Planning, and Design (ISAPD) club at the College of Architecture. I am currently a third-year student and pursuing my BSBA in Business Management and minoring in American Indian Studies. DESERT VIEW HS + NAEP + THINK TANK + NATIVE SOAR

We had the privilege of welcoming seniors from Desert View High School to campus in collaboration with our friends at Sunnyside Unified’s Native American Education Program and the UA’s Think Tank!

We started the day exploring the incredible resources and support available through the UA’s Student Success District, where we met Luna, one of the amazing Think Tank Academic Coaches, and heard an inspiring presentation from Taranika, Think Tank Director.

After lunch at the College of Education, our visiting scholars participated in an icebreaker and mentoring session led by Native SOAR mentors Nemo, Abby, and Maggie—with Carlos there in spirit!

We wrapped up the day with visits to the Student Union and Campus Store.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this visit possible! We’re grateful for your support and hope our guests left feeling welcomed, inspired, and even more excited for graduation! 🎓🎉
