💚🤍 Community in Action! 🤍💚

Today, members of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Eta Delta Chapter proudly joined community volunteers to help assemble over 600 care packages for some of our most vulnerable neighbors throughout Tucson.

A heartfelt thank you to Council Member Selina Barajas and her district team for the invitation and for creating opportunities that allow organizations and residents to come together in service of others.

Special recognition to Soror Lovely Ganthier and Soror Carletta Sanders-Chavers for representing Eta Delta with dedication, compassion, and a commitment to community impact. Your willingness to serve reflects the very essence of our sisterhood.

Service is more than what we do—it is who we are. When organizations, leaders, and volunteers unite around a common purpose, lives are touched and communities are strengthened.

Today, the Ladies of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Eta Delta Chapter pause to honor, celebrate, and reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.

As we commemorate this important day in American history, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black communities while recognizing the continued pursuit of equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

May we never forget the sacrifices of those who came before us, and may we continue the work of uplifting our communities through service, leadership, education, and empowerment.
