My name is Hanna, and I’m a Recruiter with Mercy Ships, a faith-based nonprofit that provides free, life-changing surgical care to underserved communities in Africa through our hospital ships.
I recently connected with Glenda Bailey at ORU, who recommended I reach out to you regarding opportunities to connect Mercy Ships with students and alumni through the College of Health Sciences. I’m currently doing a focused recruiting sprint for several nursing opportunities with Mercy Ships, and I wanted to reach out to see if you might be willing to share these opportunities with your experienced alumni. These opportunities require nurses to have at least two years of nursing experience post licensure, so we’re especially hoping to connect with alumni who have been practicing for a few years and may be looking for a meaningful way to use their professional experience in international service.
I am currently recruiting for:

• Adult ICU Nurse – Ward Nurse (Adult ICU) – Volunteer Opportunities
• Pediatric ICU (PICU) Nurse – Ward Nurse (Pediatric ICU) – Volunteer Opportunities
• Pediatric Nurse – Ward Nurse (Pediatric) – Volunteer Opportunities
I’m also the recruiter for our entire Ward, which includes RNs, Outpatient Nurses, Dietitians, Physical Therapists, Rehabilitation Services, Wound Care, and Ambulatory Services. If your team has an alumni newsletter, career board, email list, social media platform, or another way to reach your nursing alumni, I would be incredibly grateful if you could share these opportunities with them! If there is a way for me to connect directly with any of these boards, email lists, or other alumni communication channels, I would also be happy to provide the information and connect directly.
