After a decade of dedicated leadership, Dr. James M. Herman will retire as Dean of the OU School of Community Medicine this June. We are deeply grateful for his service and vision which have shaped what the SCM is today. Additionally, we’re happy to announce that Dr. Boyd D. Burns has been named interim dean, effective July 1, pending Board approval.

We celebrated our Staff back on April 10th for our Annual Awards Reception! Thank you to all those who received a service award for their continued commitment to OU-Tulsa and all your contributions to your departments and colleges. We also celebrated our special award winners for the Regents' Award for Superior Staff, the new Staff Senate Superior Merit Award, the Staff Senate Standard Merit Awards, and the Karla Lane Community Kindness Award. Congratulations to all those who received recognition for their years of service and to those recognized for their outstanding work!

Hello All!

I know we are still getting into the Spooky Season and talking about Winter on a day where the high is going to be 80 sounds crazy, but OU Tulsa Staff Senate is going to be hosting a Winter Craft Market on December 11th, 2024 from 11am to 4pm in Founder’s Hall at the Schusterman Learning Center. We are going to have vendors from all over to make sure the holiday season is fun, festive, and fantastic!
