Episode 3 of TU Takes on ASHA!

Next up is one of our associate professors, Dr. Marianna Rubino. Dr. Rubino's research is titled "Identity Should Be a Standard Consideration in Voice and all Speech." Dr. Rubino will be presenting this one hour seminar along with other authors and collaborators. The seminar will focus on how identity should be incorporated into treatment procedures for voice and for all other domains of communication sciences and disorders such as adult language, swallowing, AAC, and more.

We are grateful for Dr. Rubino's contributions to our field. Look for her seminar at ASHA on Thursday, November 19th, 2026!

Nursing program enrollment is on the rise! 📈

There was a 7.6% increase in enrollment for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs, a 6.8% increase for master's degree programs, and a 5.9% increase for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs, according to 2025 data from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). 👏

Episode 2 of TU takes on ASHA!

Next up is Madalene Baehler. Madalene is a 1st year graduate student in our program. Her research assesses community needs in relation to driving after a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The purpose is to identify and evaluate the driving-related needs, understand challenges in return-to-driving and identify the driving resources and services that exist in the Tulsa Community for those who are post-TBI. Her research will determine if there are gaps in driving rehabilitation to further the development of services.
