On Tuesday, August 25, Our Blood Institute (OBI) held a blood drive at the CCC campus, where 20 students, staff, and faculty members donated a total of 15 units of blood.

Because OBI can process each unit of blood into three separate components—red blood cells, platelets, and plasma—these donations can be transfused into different patients, ultimately impacting up to 45 lives.

Our Veterinary Assistant students recently visited PetSmart for a hands-on lesson in pet nutrition.

They learned the difference between veterinary therapeutic prescription diets designed to support pets with specific health conditions and over-the-counter foods intended for healthy pets. They also explored ingredient quality and why proper nutrition plays such an important role in overall health and wellness.

Keep up the great work, Veterinary Assistant students! 🐾

A week of reflection at Community Care College ❤️

Sometimes, chasing the career you want means taking a chance and putting yourself in the game.

To our students: don’t let the fear of losing keep you from trying. Your dreams are worth the risk.

🦷 POV: The dental tools said “self-care day.” 😂✨

But behind the fun is an important lesson: Dental Assisting students are learning the multi-step process of cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments.

Because in healthcare, the details matter.

Learning the order of draw is an important skill for every Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. To help our students remember the correct sequence, our Medical Assistant instructor, Elizabeth, created these handy reference badges!

These badges give students a quick, visual reminder as they build confidence with their hands-on skills and prepare for careers in healthcare.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for going the extra mile to create helpful tools that support our students in the classroom! ❤️

Everyone has a reason they started. A person, a dream, a goal, or a future they’re working toward.

We asked our CCC students to show us their why. ❤️
