Happy Holidays! The Health Sciences Library will be closed from Saturday, December 21, 2024 until Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Patient care information needs will still be answered by the librarian during this time, but all other inquiries will be answered in the new year. Have a wonderful holiday season!

EDIT: Downtime rescheduled.

The HSL's off-campus login will be down for scheduled maintenance for approximately 1-2 hours Thursday afternoon, November 4th, beginning at 3pm. Resources provided by or shared with the UA Libraries will not be affected by the login outage, but CCHS-only resources will not be available off-campus for a short period to those who rely on library login. Health sciences librarians will be available at [email protected] and/or 205-348-1360 to help users get access to needed materials during this time. The Health Sciences Library was affected by flooding on June 6, 2020. While electronic resources are unaffected and librarians continue to offer research support and instruction, access to our physical space and collections is not currently possible. Some materials known to be assigned regularly for instruction and CME, as well as the disaster-ready reference collection have been retained off-site for appointment-based use, but we are not able to provide pick-up services for the vast majority of titles at this time. We expect to reopen with social-distancing guidelines in place early in the fall semester and will update the website with details as they become available.
