"I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and currently live in Cincinnati. Since graduating UA, after a six-year hiatus I re-entered the music world in 2023 and have been active almost exclusively in the historical performance community! I have played Baroque violin with ensembles across the country and served with Early Music America, including as the secretary of its Emerging Professional Leadership Council, from 2024-2026. I am also the principal Baroque violinist and media manager for Seven Hills Baroque in Cincinnati. Most recently, in 2024, I co-founded Bama Baroque, an independent and professional period instrument ensemble. We are headquartered in Tuscaloosa and are one of only a few professional early-music ensembles in Alabama's history.
Life after UA has taken me in some unexpected directions as well: I married my UASOM sweetheart (and accompanist) John, and we've lived in Texas and Ohio since we got married in 2017. I also decided to pursue a long-time dream of a career in the legal field. I worked as a paralegal in criminal and family law and now I am an immigration law paralegal, which I really enjoy.
However, I have never forgotten what UA did for me and still consider myself a musician first. My time at UASOM was life-changing, from my amazing professors, my violin teachers Jenny Gregoire and Gesa Kordes, the amazing early-music program, to the many friends and colleagues I made along the way... I wouldn't be who I am today without all of them. Roll Tide!"
