Students who have completed the VMA certification process for the Fall 2026 term will be allowed to register for the Spring 2027 semester regardless of whether their GI Bill funds have been received. If you have a personal balance remaining after GI Bill funds are received, you will have until noon on January 11, 2027, to pay the balance.

For all new and returning students, please use our certification portal, which is now live! To find our portal link, go to our website, hover over the "Getting Started" tab, and select "Required Documents for GI Bill." Please have your Certification of Eligibility (COE) in a digital version. This will be the only thing externally that the student will need to upload. Also, please have your Academic Advisor's name and email on hand. Select the GI Bill chapter that is on your COE.

Chapter 31 students, have your VA Advisor's name and email ready.

Take your time and make sure everything is filled out correctly.

The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs (VMA) is hosting Walk-In Hours throughout the next few weeks to assist in completing student certifications. Students may check in at the front desk of the VMA Office, 3000 Houser Hall, and we will have staff and School Certifying Officials (SCOs) on hand to address their issues immediately and on-site.

Mark your calendars! Registration for Spring 2025 courses begins Monday, Oct. 27. Advising worksheets (found on the VMA website) are due Friday, Nov. 14.

Wondering how the federal government shutdown may affect your education benefits? Here are a few important updates!

1. The GI Bill Hotline (also known as the VA Education Hotline) will be closed.
2. VA education benefits will continue to be processed and delivered.
3. Chapter 35 (DEA) Students: You do not need to verify your monthly enrollment for September. Payments are delayed but will be released automatically.

We will continue to share information as we learn more from the VA regarding the shutdown.
