Graduate Program in Human Nutrition at The University of Alabama

Graduate Program in Human Nutrition at The University of Alabama UA offers an MS and PhD in Human Nutrition. There are three tracks available: Generalist, Community, or Clinical.

Our program develops research skills, stimulates independent thought, and provides up-to-date knowledge in food and nutrition. The program tracks are designed for the registered dietitian but can be completed by a dietetic intern or student with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or another discipline who has met certain prerequisites. The masters degree is also available through distance education.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY:: We are looking for non-smoking participants aged 18+ to take part in a study investigating a recently approved FDA mobile device that measures energy expenditure. This device offers significant advantages over existing methods, as it is portable and far more practical for real-world use. You would be asked to attend a single 60-minute study visit at the University of Alabama Nutrition and Metabolism Research Lab, where we would measure your metabolism and body composition using specialized non-invasive equipment. Your study results on energy expenditure and body composition will be provided at study completion. For more information, email Isabel Martin - [email protected] - or use the following link to complete the screening questionnaire: https://universityofalabama.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_agRJLKDm24mTzTg
