Kick things off with pre-game performances by the Apache Belles and TJC Cheer, then cheer on TJC President, Dr. Juan E. Mejia, as he throws out the ceremonial first pitch. A talented TJC alumna will take the field to perform the national anthem, making it a night full of tradition and celebration.

When Jeremiah (Jeremy) Ho**er retired from military service, he chose TJC as the next step in his journey—pursuing higher education while balancing family life and the responsibilities of being a rancher. Drawing on the discipline and dedication he developed during 16 years in the United States Marine Forces Reserve, where he served as a crew chief on a KC-130 aerial refueler crew, Jeremy set his sights on a career in law enforcement.

A proud 2017 TJC graduate, Jeremy took advantage of the educational benefits earned through his military service. By taking most of his classes online, he demonstrated that determination and hard work can open doors to new opportunities, no matter where life takes you.

We proudly salute Jeremy for his service to our nation and celebrate his success as a TJC alumnus. His story is a powerful reminder that with perseverance, commitment, and the right support, new chapters can lead to extraordinary accomplishments. 🇺🇸

This weekend, the Apache Chiefs reunited with Chiefs alumni from across the years — dating all the way back to the program’s beginning in 2008.

Alumni traveled from Houston, Dallas, Wichita Falls, and Shreveport to reconnect, share memories, and spend time with lifelong friends. It was a special weekend celebrating the tradition, friendships, and lasting connections of the Apache Chiefs program.

One of our favorite parts of the day was visiting with an original Chief (class of 2008) whose daughter is currently an Apache Chief! This tradition runs in the family. 💛

Tyler Junior College alumna Cassie Shea Watson (Class of 2002) captured national attention when she was crowned “American Princess” on WE TV’s American Princess. Competing against 11 other women, Cassie won a $50,000 prize, a dance with a European prince, and the prestigious British title “Lady of the Manor of Netherhall.”

A Tyler native, Cassie’s passion for performing began early—landing roles as a child in productions like The Little Witch and Alice in Wonderland. She continued honing her craft at TJC and later at the University of North Texas, where she discovered her love for musical theatre.

Since her win, Cassie has built an impressive career in film, television, commercials, and stage, with appearances in productions including America's Most Wanted and Sordid Lives: The Series, along with numerous lead roles across independent films and theatre.

A proud Tyler Junior College Class of 2002 alumna and lifetime member of Belle Gold, Lisa made her mark early as an Apache Belle and sophomore dance captain before continuing her education at the University of North Texas, where she earned her degree in Kinesiology. Her love for dance and performance led her to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, where she spent an impressive five seasons (2002–2007).

During her time with the organization, Lisa’s dedication stood out. She served as a group leader her fifth year, was featured in three DCC swimsuit calendars, and cheered on the sidelines during the historic game when Emmitt Smith became the NFL’s all-time leading rusher. She was also featured on CMT’s reality show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the journey to earn a coveted spot on the squad.
