Apache Belles Head Dance Captains Esteemed Leaders of the Internationally Famous Apache Belles - the best dance/drill team in the world.

The legendary Ruth Flynn implemented dance captains when she assumed the role of director of the Apache Belles in 1984. There are 27 former Head Dance Captains (one current)...and counting. These young ladies wear gold scarves when the team dons the "Rose" uniform and begins the half-time show on the 50-yard line, where they also dance the traditional officer "strut." Otherwise, on the field, the

dance captains characteristically wear the same uniform as the team. These leaders have represented the team, the great state of Texas, and the US all over the world.

On Friday night, the brand new dance captains of the 76th line were named at the Apache Belles 2023 Formal Announcements. We’re so proud of these ladies and are excited to watch them lead this organization!
