Please welcome Michael (Mike) Henderson, Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance to the Soules College of Business! 📣

Mr. Henderson holds an MBA from Baylor University and brings more than 30 years of banking industry experience to the classroom, including leadership roles with responsibility across several East Texas markets.

Mr. Henderson has also been teaching at the university level for more than 13 years, including part-time faculty experience at both The University of Texas at Tyler and Stephen F. Austin State University. His combination of extensive banking leadership experience and higher education teaching allows him to bring practical, real-world financial knowledge and industry perspective to his students.

Join us in welcoming Dr. Derek Stotler, Assistant Professor of Management, to our Soules College of Business family! 📣

Dr. Stotler earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Georgia State University. Before joining UT Tyler, he served as an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. His research examines workplace relationships and employee behavior, with a particular focus on servant leadership, the impostor phenomenon, employee well-being, and interpersonal dynamics at work. He teaches courses in human resource management, organizational behavior, and negotiation and conflict resolution.

Welcome Dr. Amanda Legate to the Human Resource Development Department! 📣 Dr. Legate earned her Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from UT Tyler and brings more than two decades of professional experience in HR and organizational development to her faculty role. Her research interests include metascience, emerging statistical and computational methods, and evidence-based HRD. Her work has appeared in Human Resource Development Quarterly, Human Resource Development International, and other refereed journals.
