More hands-on learning in action! 🩺
Two groups of Shawnee Community College RN students participated in OB Bootcamp this week, putting their skills and knowledge to work in realistic labor and delivery scenarios.

Using simulation manikins, students work through situations designed to prepare them for what they may encounter while caring for mothers and newborns.

It's one thing to learn about it in the classroom. It's another to put that knowledge into practice.

We finished July off great and started August strong as our recent LPN graduates continue to pass their NCLEX tests!

We have eight NEW LPNs to celebrate! We are sending a big congratulations to Kaitlynn Dunning, Kaity Holley, Hayden Ralls, Madalyn Batha, Riana White, Alexandra Harned, Madison Bennett, and Jamie Pugh!

These students graduated in the Shawnee Community College Practical Nursing program in May 2026, and passed the NCLEX-PN to become Licensed Practical Nurses.

Their hard work, compassion, and persistence represent the very best of Shawnee’s nursing programs.

The Allied Health and Nursing Department at Shawnee Community College recently celebrated the accomplishments of 15 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) graduates during a pinning ceremony on the College's Main Campus.

Family members, friends, faculty, and staff gathered to recognize the graduates' hard work, dedication, and commitment as they prepare to begin their careers in healthcare. The nursing pinning ceremony is a longstanding tradition that symbolizes the successful completion of the nursing program and the graduates' readiness to serve their communities.

Shawnee Community College congratulates these graduates on this important milestone and wishes them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their healthcare careers.
