The Office of Residential Student Services is the unit within the Division of Student Affairs that i Welcome to Residential Student Services!

Congratulations on taking this opportunity to expand your educational experiences at Kean by joining our residential community. As you will discover, living in a residence hall is a unique experience. As a member of an active community, you will be engaged in the common goal of academic and personal pursuits. The staff of Kean University’s Office of Residence Life also has a single goal: to create

Are you ready and cleared for Move-In Day?

Before heading to campus, make sure you’re CLEARED and ready to check in! Take a moment to review the Move-In Requirements and complete any outstanding items before your scheduled move-in day.

IMPORTANT: Failure to be fully cleared prior to move-in will result in you NOT being permitted to check in or receive your room key until all outstanding requirements have been resolved.

Don’t wait until Move-In Day—check your status on The Housing Portal now and make sure you’re ready to go!

August 28, 2026: Upperclassman Hall, Burch Hall, Rogers Hall & Sozio Hall

The semester is winding down, but the Office of Residence Life would like to recap our annual Midnight Breakfast held in collaboration with Gourmet Dining 🍳. Students came out to take a break from finals and enjoy a free breakfast-style meal. As the semester concludes tomorrow, we hope everybody has a great summer! ☀️

Cougars, the end of the semester is here! As a reminder, the residence halls will close on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Residents are expected to move out within 24 hours of their last final and no later than 6:00 PM on May 7th.

We wish you the best of luck on any final exams, projects, presentations, etc.! Happy move-outs! 📦

Cougars, join us tonight, April 27, 2026, from 9:00 PM–12:00 AM in Keanu’s Kitchen for Midnight Breakfast! Residential and commuter students are invited to enjoy free breakfast-style food while spending time with peers before the semester ends.

Note: Keanu’s Kitchen will close from 7:00–9:00 PM for event preparation🍴🥞.

Cougars, Spring Fest is happening tomorrow! Join us from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM on the MSC Turf & Dougall Patio for an afternoon of 70s–90s Spring Funk.

Enjoy games, prizes, crafts, free barbecue-style food, and music from our DJ throughout the event.

Dining Update: Keanu’s Kitchen served brunch until 11:00 AM and will reopen for dinner at 6:00 PM (closed for lunch from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
