Yesterday the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry celebrated the work of Dr. Michael Nichols, the recipient of the Curtis W. Miles Faculty Award for Community Service. Dr. Bonnie Gunzenhauser, VP for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Edward Peck, VP for Mission and Identity, presented Dr. Nichols with this well-deserved award for outstanding service to the university, our students, and the greater Cleveland community. The awards ceremony was held as part of the annual Mission Week celebration.

On the first day of her p chem lecture course, Dr. Bruce asks students to design a t shirt for the chemistry department as an activity that connects to the process of PChem.

This year, students worked with the JCU ACS student affiliate group to make the t shirts a reality! Thank you to Dr. Waner for overseeing the tie-dye process.
