Nicole is a sophomore majoring in psychology from North Philadelphia. She is focusing her studies on forensic psychology and joined our study to develop and strengthen her research skills.

We are looking for right-handed children aged 8 -10 and one parent/guardian to take part in a research study. The study involves coming to campus for 2 visits, during which we will ask you and your child some questions and your child will have an MRI scan. In the ROAR Lab, our research uses brain imaging (MRI) and other methods (e.g., surveys, cognitive tests) to help us to better understand how adverse experiences influence brain development in children and adolescents and how changes in brain structure and function might be related to 'risky' behaviors in young people.
