Claire for SMU My name is Claire Hermeling, and I want to represent you as the 2017-2018 SMU Student Body President. Voting April 5th and 6th at smu.edu/elections

I'm running for president because I want to help make an SMU that is secure, connected and united. These three initiatives form the basis of what I want to accomplish and I look forward sharing more about this with you in the coming days. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve SMU in a variety of leadership positions. I’ve had the honor of serving as a Student Senator, Senate Communic

ations Chair, and as an RA in Kathy Crow Commons. These roles have allowed me to meet all types of SMU students and have left me uniquely qualified to serve you as student body president. My platform consists of realistic goals that I will be able to achieve in my time as president. I’m also excited to hear what issues are important to the everyday student. My priority as president is to represent you, and by voting for my you can assure that your voice will be heard.

I am excited to announce that I will be serving on Student Senate Executive Committee as Chief of Staff! I'm looking forward to working with all members of Student Senate and see what the 104th Senate accomplishes this next year. Feel free to reach out to me with comments, concerns or just want to chat about SMU. I am here to voice your concerns and would love to do that in any way possible. Thanks again to those who have supported me throughout my time at SMU, I am so grateful to be a part of this community and can't wait to continue to improving our university. Pony Up!
