Summer Music Institute at Penn State The Penn State Summer Music Institute is an exciting summer music program for high school students.

The Penn State summer music camp (The Honors Music Institute) is one of the most exciting of its kind for talented high school musicians. The Institute is an intensive, week long immersion in the art of music making for talented high school students. As one of the most exciting summer music camps, specific areas of study include Wind Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Piano, Jazz Ensemble, Music Technology,

and Composition. Students entering 9th grade in the fall of 2021 (current 8th graders) through students who will graduate in the spring of 2021 (current seniors) are eligible to audition. Accepted students will participate in masterclasses, private lessons, chamber music, student recitals and large ensembles. All institute participants will study with renowned School of Music faculty and acclaimed guest artists.
