Do you know a 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 who served or is serving in the U.S. military? Recognize their service with a special alumni honor banner celebrating their commitment and sacrifice.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲?

🔳 Veterans of, or actively serving in, the Active or Reserve Components of U.S Armed Forces, under conditions other than dishonorable, and

🔳 Graduated from the University Park campus or World Campus

Not only will you be honoring a proud Penn State veteran, but $100 of every sponsorship directly supports the Penn State Military Student Fund, helping military-connected students across all Penn State campuses including World Campus.

It’s a powerful way to celebrate service and support the next generation of Penn State student veterans.

Banners will be displayed on the Penn State side of College Avenue in November and December, before being returned to the sponsor. Cost to participate in the banner program is $400.

🔗 Register to sponsor a banner here: https://forms.office.com/r/MZGnmE6gMq

Please consider sharing this opportunity with fellow Penn Staters who may want to honor a veteran in their life. 🇺🇸

✨ February Student Veteran Spotlight: Ricky Nguyen ✨

Meet Ricky Nguyen, an Army veteran and current student at Penn State!

Reflecting upon his service and how his experiences have shaped his time on campus Ricky shares:

“Having peers from all different backgrounds and majors gives me an advantage compared to other students because we all took a similar path, now we are attending Penn State together, and we all want each other to succeed.”

His advice for fellow-military affiliated students?

“Don’t downplay your military background. Use it to your advantage. You performed tasks while you were in the military under pressure, so deadlines for your classes should not be a problem for you. Hold yourself accountable for mistakes.”

Thank you, Ricky, for your service and we are proud to celebrate your accomplishments and your continued journey with us at Penn State!
