Fayetteville Public Schools Outback Our FPS district food pantry is called The Outback because the first location was "out back" of Jefferson Elementary.

The Outback is open to any FPS family needing assistance. Open Friday 8-11:30am, when school is in session.

🍎It's Time Complete the Free Meal Application for the 2026-27 school year for your family!!🍎

Our Child Nutrition staff members take great pride in creating healthy, nutritious, and tasty meals for our students every day, and we want to make sure all of our students can take advantage of these meals.

Many of our families qualify for free school meals. For a family with two students in our schools, that could be a savings of over $250 per month!

Families that qualify for free or reduced school meals are also eligible for other benefits such as:
☑️discounted Internet service,
☑️reduced ACT and SAT test fees,
☑️reduced college fees, and
☑️funding for student programs and services.

The Economic Opportunity Agency of Washington County will begin accepting applications today, July 6, 2026 for its Summer Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Offered in the summer and winter, LIHEAP assists lower-income households with heating and cooling costs.

Eligible households can apply electronically or in-person by appointment. To view more information and access an application, visit the Economic Opportunity Agency's LIHEAP program page: https://eoawc.org/assistance-programs/liheap/
