Mya Terrazas is a graduating senior from the Forensic Science program here at St Edward's University. While we will miss her in the classroom, we are proud of her drive in the pursuit of her goals and interests. Recently she was offered a plum opportunity with the APD. I will let Mya tell you about the internship in her own words:
"I’m excited to have been selected for an internship with the Austin Police Department Homicide Unit. Through this opportunity, I will gain hands on experience in death investigations, including responding to scenes, observing the investigative process, and working alongside professionals across multiple stages of a case. I will also have exposure to autopsies and investigative procedures, which will allow me to better understand how cases are developed from scene to analysis. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a dynamic and impactful environment as I continue pursuing a career in forensic science."
