Season’s greetings!
In time for the holidays, we are launching our initiative for organizations addressing common mental health/ mindfulness disparities and social justice issues in line with our mission this year (see our first newsletter) to ally with our Black community members and stand with all those who may not have access to the practices we share— the radical inclusion, compassion, and community that we aim to cultivate. In honor of our 50th anniversary since BMC first came to be, we will be mailing you a FREE BMC sticker (bear: 1.47”x 2” and circle: 2”x2”) for every $2+ donation to the organizations listed below (or any others with similar objectives). Email ([email protected]) or DM us your donation receipt and address to mail to.
Recommended organizations:
-TGI Justice Project: http://www.tgijp.org/
-Institute of African American Mindfulness (non profit serving our African American communities): https://www.iaam-dc.org
-Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective: https://www.beam.community/whatwebelieve
-Any bail fund or nonprofit (including GoFundMe stories) aiming to increase mental health care access for minority communities or to address disparities Black community members face in your area
>> Please DM or email us if you remain unsure of where to donate to.
This holiday season, open your heart and give the gift of care♡
Thank you all for your support throughout these last fifty years that are beyond ourselves. We wish you all a joyful, loving holiday season!
Sincerely,
BMC
