"The Criminal Intelligence Analysis (CIA) program at the University of Akron (UA) explored a wide variety of the different skill sets used within the field of crime analysis. While at the UA, I interned through the Northeast Ohio Regional Fusion Center (NEORFC) and worked under the Cleveland Division of Police's Crime Analysis Unit (CAU). After graduation from the UA, I applied to the Cleveland Division of Police and accepted a position in the CAU, where I work today. I still use the important skills learned at the UA in my work today as a Crime Analyst. Thank you to all my teachers at the UA for guiding me along the way! Go Zips!"- Elizabeth Blythin
